Get out and about in Autumn

For the Majority of caravaners that are retired or don’t have any children September and October can be ideal months of the year to take a break in your caravan.

The day light hours are getting less and the evenings slightly cooler, but September and October as a rule can be a lovely time of year to get away and  enjoy some sunshine and good weather.

At St Mellion Storage we are fortunate enough to have a 5 van Certificated Caravan Club site on our farm. This offers great hard standing pitches with lovely woodland walks.

Being out of season any park or campsite will be quieter and cheaper then peak season but still give you lots of different opportunities to get you out and about for example.

Places to visit

  • Visiting any national park / forest or woodlands gives you lots to offer with great Autumn walks – walking through beautiful red and gold leaves and an opportunity to see lots of wildlife along the way.
  • Historic villages and towns gives you great experience to see first hand the workmanship put into the buildings.
  • Rallies within the Caravan and Motorhome Club and the Camping and Caravan Club continue to run throughout the year giving a wide variety of activities and a good way to make friends and discuss similar interests.
  • The South West Coastal park National Trail is one of the top walks to be found anywhere in the world, so it has been said. That is some statement but is meant to be true. The heritage, wildlife, geology and scenery along the way are truly inspirational and not to be missed.

So whatever interests you have, whether it’s taking time out and watching the world go by or being hands on and getting stuck in – enjoy the Autumn!
